Vehicle Fire 8/6/10


   On August 6, 2010 at 08:43 station 3 Fruitland was alerted for a vehicle fire on the Salisbury bypass in the area of St. Lukes overpass. Rescue Engine 302 went enroute 3-20 (D. Elliott) and 4. While enroute central advised truck was fully envolved and had propane tanks on board. Rescue Engine 302 arrived on location with the box of a box truck fully involved 3-20 established Bypass command. 302s crew place two 1 3/4 lines in service and knocked fire and kept propane saddle tank cool. Salisbury was requested for additional water supply and manpower. Truck 2 assisted with manpower and water. Situation was placed under control w/ extensive over haul at 09:14. MSP conducted investigation and found that food was cook in box part of truck. All Units Cleared.

UNITS ON SCENE: Rescue Engine 302, Paramedic A-3, Traffic 3, Truck 2, MSP and WCSO.
